I recently had the opportunity to put this blender to the test to see how it compares to other blenders out in the market now.

What’s great about this blender is that it is compact in size and it doesn’t take up much counter space. Even though it’s compact, the 32-ounce blender jar can still hold a lot of ingredients. It has a stainless steel blade that can crush through ice and firm vegetables along with the 1.6 horsepower motor.
As an avid frozen drink maker I am very picky when it comes to the texture of my blended drinks. They must be smooth and can’t have any chunks of ice or food in it. I wanted to see if the Jamba Quiet Blend Blender could make a smoothie just the way I like. The smoothie ingredients consisted of juice, fresh and frozen fruit in addition to a cup of ice.
I put all of the ingredients in the blender jar and turned on the blender by turning the speed dial knob to 10 which is the highest speed. The blender immediately started crushing the frozen ingredients. I let the blender run for about a minute and it blended my smoothie into the chunk free texture I enjoy drinking.
My next test was to see how it held up while making a smoothie bowl. To make a smoothie bowl you need to use a lot more frozen ingredients than you normally would for a smoothie so that it is thick enough to eat with a spoon. To successfully make a smoothie bowl, the blender you use must have a lot of power to handle blending a lot of frozen ingredients without the motor burning out.
I put frozen mango and frozen pineapple along with some soy milk into the blender jar and turned on the motor. While the motor was running I used the tamper that came with the blender to push down the ingredients into the blade. At first, it looked like the blender was having trouble handling all of the frozen ingredients but I continued to stir it with the tamper. The chunky frozen fruit began to transform into a smooth ice cream like consistency. The motor did not burn out and this blender was powerful enough to transform about 4 cups of frozen fruit into a thick and creamy smoothie bowl. A blender with a powerful motor like this one is not common since the motor on most blenders can’t handle too many frozen fruits and will just burnout in the process of trying to blend.
My favorite accessories that came with the blender are the 20-ounce Personal Blender Jar and the Quiet Shield sound enclosure. The Personal Blender Jar lets you blend and take your favorite drinks on the go in the same container. Say goodbye to having extra dishes to wash or needing to buy a smaller blender to make portable blended drinks. The Personal Blender Jar has its own cutting blade that is removable and a twist on lid that attaches to it.
The Quiet Shield sound enclosure keeps the level of noise the blender makes confined and doesn’t let it echo everywhere. It’s great to have when you want to make a smoothie in the morning without waking up your whole household.
