Disclosure: I received several bottles of different flavors of Cascade Ice sparkling water to taste in order to conduct this review. All my opinions are my own.
Every once in a while do you get that craving for a sweet flavorful drink but don't want to drink something that is unhealthy? There are times when I am in the mood for a refreshing drink other than regular water to have with my meal. Since I stay away from sugary drinks like soda I'm usually looking for a drink that is flavorful yet doesn’t have more calories than the meal I'm eating. I love flavored water but you need to be careful since not all flavored waters are created equally and some may contain sugar and salt. Sparkling water is great because its carbonated like soda but without the sugar. The combination of natural fruit juice and sparkling water is what Cascade Ice delivers in its 17 ounce bottle.
Cascade Ice is a zero-calorie, sugar-free flavored sparkling water that doesn't contain any sugar, sodium, caffeine or gluten. It has zero calories and comes in 20 tasty flavors. The flavors I tasted were McIntosh Apple, Cranberry Pomegranate, Strawberry Orange Mango, Wild Berry and Pomegranate Berry.
I found that all of the flavors I tasted were full of flavor and contained just the right amount of sweetness while still being sugar free. Also, I wasn't worried about drinking my calories away since they didn't contain any. This flavored sparkling water made drinking water an enjoyable experience watching all of the bubbles fizz in my cup and splashing on my nose when drank it. My tap water surely doesn't do any of that. The taste of each flavor was true to its name. Cascade Ice is a great alternative if you are a heavy soda drinker looking to drink more water. You won't miss soda at all when you drink it!
All of the flavors I tasted were delicious and refreshing. I really enjoyed the McIntosh Apple flavor. When I took the first sip of this sparkling water, I could instantly taste the McIntosh apple as it hit my tastebuds. If you ever had a macintosh apple, you know it has a distinct tart but sweet taste that no other apple has. This drink definitely captured the essence of that sweet and tart combination. For a moment I thought that I was drinking the juice from a macintosh apple until the fizzy bubbles started tickling the back of my throat. Then I remembered I was actually drinking sparkling water.
I enjoyed drinking all of these flavored sparkling waters and they were definitely a nice change to just having water with my meal. Cascade Ice is available for purchase in all 50 states.
