Simple and Easy To Make Pickled Red Onions

Pickled red onions are a great condiment to top off many dishes like veggie dogs, sandwiches, veggie burgers, salads and more! It's very simple to make and have on hand when you need to add a garnish to your meal. They also go great on top of some mangú (mashed plantains).

Yield: 6 servings


Ingredients:

½ red onion thinly sliced

1 cup white vinegar

1 tablespoon organic cane sugar


Directions:

1. Place all the ingredients for the pickled onions in a small sauce pot and bring to a simmer.

2. Turn off as soon as it simmers and set aside.

3. Once it is cooled down transfer to a glass jar, cover and store in the refrigerator.
